Curtis Jones has disclosed that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the entire Liverpool squad after the uproar from his recent interview.

The striker was dropped from a European match following making accusations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”

The manager has previously declined to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the player.

Looking Ahead

The player stated that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.

He also implied that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”

Positive Results

The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the initial controversy. Jones believes the Salah's words were not intended to cause disruption.
